Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Apex Enterprise Solutions LLC when you use TextLedger.

By messaging our service number over SMS or WhatsApp (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Description of service
TextLedger lets you send photos of receipts by SMS or WhatsApp. We use automated image recognition to extract merchant, date, time, and amount information, assign an expense category, and make the data available to you as a spreadsheet export on request.
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older, located in the United States.
3. No professional advice
TextLedger is a recordkeeping tool, not a source of tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. Categorizations are automated suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing all logged data and consulting a licensed professional before filing taxes or making financial decisions.
4. Accuracy of extracted data
Automated extraction may occasionally produce errors, particularly on faded, creased, or poorly lit receipts. We send a confirmation message after each receipt so you can review the extracted details while the receipt is still in your hand and tell us about anything that looks wrong. We are not liable for consequences resulting from inaccurate extraction or categorization.
5. Digital record retention
Our storage practices are designed with reference to IRS guidance on electronic recordkeeping (IRS Revenue Procedure 97-22). You are responsible for ensuring captured receipt images are clear and legible, and for retaining records for the period required by your specific tax situation, before discarding original documents.
One exception worth knowing. Records relating to the purchase of vehicles, equipment, or other business property generally must be retained for as long as you own the asset, plus several years after you dispose of it — regardless of format. Consult a tax professional about your own retention obligations.
6. Your responsibilities
- Only send legitimate receipts you have the right to submit
- Avoid sending sensitive information you don’t need to, such as full card numbers or Social Security numbers
- Provide accurate contact information
- Use the Service for lawful purposes only
7. Fees and refunds
New users receive a free trial period of fourteen days, beginning on the date the first receipt is submitted rather than on any registration date.
No payment method is required to begin, and no charge is applied automatically. At the end of the trial period you may choose to continue on a monthly plan at $7.99 per month, or an annual plan at $79.00 per year. If you do not select a plan, no charge is made and no payment method is collected.
Paid plans may be cancelled at any time and will remain active until the end of the period already paid for. You may request an export of your records at any point, including after cancellation, by texting EXPORT.
Refunds. Because every plan begins with a fourteen-day free trial and no charge is made until you actively choose a paid plan, you can evaluate the service fully before paying anything. If you are charged in error, or you believe you are entitled to a refund, email support@gotextledger.com within thirty days of the charge and we will review it in good faith. Monthly plans are not otherwise refundable once the month has begun; for annual plans cancelled within thirty days of purchase, we will refund the unused portion on request.
8. Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on your usage. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to opt out at any time, START to resume.
9. Data and privacy
Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by texting STOP, and may request deletion of your records by emailing support@gotextledger.com. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
11. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apex Enterprise Solutions LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
12. Changes to these terms, governing law, and contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated to active users before they take effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
