TextLedger ("we," "us," or "our") provides a text-message-based receipt tracking and bookkeeping assistant (the "Service") accessible via SMS and/or WhatsApp. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
By texting a photo of a receipt to our service number, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the Service, we collect your phone number; receipt photos and the data extracted from them (vendor, date, subtotal, tax, total, category); message content you send us; and basic usage data such as when you send messages.
We do not collect full card numbers, bank account numbers, or Social Security numbers, and we ask that you avoid sending receipts or messages containing this information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to extract and log receipt data, send confirmations and monthly summaries, send optional reminders, improve accuracy, and respond to support requests. We do not use your information for advertising and do not sell it to third parties.
3. How Your Information Is Processed and Stored
We use the following third-party providers to operate the Service: Twilio (messaging), OpenAI (receipt image processing), Make.com (workflow automation), and Airtable (data storage). We take reasonable steps to keep your data secure, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward, unless you request earlier deletion.
5. Opting Out
Text STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or START to resume. Standard message and data rates may apply.
6. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your data at any time by texting "DELETE MY DATA" or contacting us directly.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will notify active users of material changes.
